Transfer FAQ

Quick answers

Got a one-off question? Call +1 647 477 1520 any day, 8AM–8PM EST.

How do I find my driver at the airport?+

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign. We send their photo, name and mobile number 24h before your flight — message them directly if anything changes.

Late-night or early-morning arrivals?+

We operate 24/7 — no overnight surcharge. Just give us your flight number and we'll be there.

Child seats and boosters?+

Yes — request a child seat or booster in your booking. Available at no extra cost; please specify ages.

Lots of luggage?+

Tell us in the booking. The SUV handles 5 medium suitcases comfortably; bigger loads use a Sprinter van.

YYZ — passport at the border?+

Yes — Toronto Pearson is in Canada, so every passenger needs a valid passport for the U.S. side. Your driver knows the smoothest crossing route at every hour.

Buffalo & Toronto Airport Transfers to Niagara Falls — Door-to-Door, Flight-Tracked, Multilingual Chauffeurs

Most people who visit Niagara Falls fly into either Buffalo Niagara International (BUF) on the US side or Toronto Pearson (YYZ) on the Canadian side; a smaller number arrive into the small regional Niagara Falls International (IAG). After a long flight, the last thing anybody wants is to drag suitcases onto a hotel shuttle that leaves in 45 minutes, or queue at a taxi rank that turns into a flat-fare conversation at the bridge. Our airport transfer service is the un-fussy alternative — a black sedan, SUV or Sprinter waits for your flight, a uniformed chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a placard, your bags get loaded, and you go straight to your hotel. No shared van. No stops for somebody else. No conversation about a meter.

Three airports, three routes — what to expect

Buffalo Niagara International (BUF) → Niagara Falls hotels: 24 miles, 25–35 minutes via I-190. Easiest of the three because the route stays in the United States the whole way — no border crossing, no passport at the door. Most international guests use BUF as their gateway when they specifically want to skip the border. The chauffeur meets you at the bottom of the BUF baggage claim escalator with a sign showing your last name; from kerb to your hotel lobby is typically under 40 minutes.

Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) → Niagara Falls hotels: 80 miles, 75–110 minutes depending on bridge queues. This route crosses the Canada–US border at the Peace Bridge or the Rainbow Bridge — every passenger must hold a valid passport book (or, for Canadian residents, a NEXUS card). The pickup point at YYZ is Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 arrivals depending on your flight; we send a confirmation email the day before with the exact column to meet at. Drive time varies primarily with the bridge — early-morning crossings in summer can be smooth, mid-afternoon Friday crossings can add 30+ minutes.

Niagara Falls International (IAG) → Niagara Falls hotels: 4 miles, 8–12 minutes. The smallest of the three airports, with limited commercial service — usually charter and seasonal carriers only. The advantage is unbeatable: you're at your hotel inside 15 minutes of landing.

What's included in every transfer

Every booking includes: a private vehicle (not shared with strangers); a professional chauffeur in business attire; meet-and-greet inside the terminal at baggage claim with a placard showing your name; real-time flight tracking so we adjust the pickup time if your flight is delayed; bottled water in the vehicle; child seat or booster on request at no extra charge; assistance with luggage; and all tolls (Peace Bridge, Skyway) included in the quoted price. There is no fuel surcharge, no late-night premium, and no fee for paying by card.

Multilingual service is available on request — let us know the language preference at booking and we will assign a chauffeur fluent in that language (English, Spanish, French, Mandarin and Arabic are most commonly requested).

Vehicle types & capacity

We run four vehicle classes. Choose based on party size and luggage volume — every vehicle is privately yours regardless of how many seats it has.

Executive sedan (Lincoln Continental or equivalent): up to 3 adults, 3 standard suitcases. Best for solo travellers and couples.

Premium SUV (Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Suburban): up to 5 adults, 5 suitcases. Best for families and small groups who want extra cabin space.

Sprinter van (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter): up to 11 passengers, 11 suitcases. Best for larger families, multi-generational trips, or any party arriving with a lot of luggage.

Mini-coach (24–28 passenger): for tour-group hand-offs or weddings where the entire party is arriving on the same flight. Quote on request.

How flight tracking works

Once you book, we attach your flight number to a tracking feed updated by the FAA (or NAV CANADA for YYZ) every two minutes. If the flight is delayed in the air, the dispatcher receives an automatic alert and pushes the chauffeur's pickup window back accordingly. If the flight lands early, the chauffeur is already on site waiting. There is no surcharge for delays of less than 90 minutes.

If your flight is diverted to a different airport (rare, but does happen with bad weather at BUF), call +1 647 477 1520 as soon as you land — dispatcher will reroute the vehicle or rebook you onto a sister vehicle out of the diverted airport. We have 24/7 dispatch coverage; the line is always answered.

For outbound (hotel → airport) transfers, the timing is on us. Tell us your check-in time and we will pick you up early enough to clear bridge queues, kerbside drop-off and TSA / CATSA security with comfortable margin. Standard rule of thumb: pickup is roughly 3 hours before international departure, 2 hours before domestic.

Border crossing from Toronto Pearson

If you booked YYZ as your arrival airport, the chauffeur will drive you across the Canada–US land border at either the Peace Bridge (Fort Erie) or the Rainbow Bridge (Niagara Falls, ON). The driver handles all interaction with the US Customs and Border Protection officer on behalf of the vehicle; you stay in your seat, hand over your passport when asked, and answer the standard "purpose of your visit / how long are you staying" question yourself. The whole inspection is typically under 5 minutes when the queue is moving. Wait times are unpredictable — Friday afternoons, Sunday evenings and holiday weekends are the slowest windows.

If a guest in the vehicle is refused entry to the United States — extremely rare — we return that guest to a CBSA / Canadian side of the border and the booking is treated as completed. Refunds for refused-entry scenarios are not available; this is a US government decision outside our control.

Pricing & how quoting works

We quote by route and vehicle class, not by meter or kilometre. Pricing is published on request because rates vary slightly with day of week, season, and any premium routing your itinerary requires (multiple stops, long airport waits, oversized cargo). Use the enquiry form above and the dispatch desk will send back a written quote — total all-in, with no add-on surcharges — within one business day. Most BUF → Niagara sedan transfers fall in the $120–160 range; YYZ → Niagara sedan transfers fall in the $260–330 range. Sprinter vans add roughly 50% on top of sedan rates.

Payment is taken at the time of booking by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). We do not handle cash transactions for airport transfers. A printed PDF receipt is emailed within 24 hours of completed service for guests who need it for expense reporting.

Cancellation, late flights & special situations

Standard 96-hour cancellation window applies — see the full Cancellation Policy. If your flight is cancelled by the airline or significantly delayed beyond a 24-hour rolling window, we waive the cancellation rule and rebook you free of charge to the new arrival time. Just call the dispatcher as soon as the airline notifies you.

If you miss your flight inbound and end up arriving on a different day, the original booking transfers to the new arrival date provided we have vehicle availability — no rebooking fee. If you miss the pickup at the kerb without notifying us, that is treated as a no-show and is not refundable.

Special situations we handle daily: oversized cargo (skis, golf clubs, boxed wedding gifts) — flag at booking so we send the right vehicle; pet transport — small pets in carriers welcome with notice, no extra fee; child and booster seats — free on request; multi-stop routing (drop off luggage at the hotel, continue straight to the Falls) — quoted as a multi-stop booking.

Why book transfers with us

Niagara Falls Tours America has been moving guests between the airports and the Falls every day since 2005. We hold the #1 ranking on TripAdvisor for Niagara Falls tour operators with over 17,000 reviews. The same family that runs the daily walking tours also runs the airport service — which means the chauffeur dropping you at your hotel knows the same local shortcut as the guide picking you up the next morning for your tour. Booking the airport transfer and a tour together produces a single confirmation email, a single point of contact, and a single dispatcher who knows your itinerary end to end. Daily phone support 8 AM – 8 PM EST at +1 647 477 1520; the dispatch line is staffed 24/7 for in-progress trips.
